Abstract

Over the past eight years, our laboratory has developed in conjunction with a project Fundecitrus application of photonic technology to detect diseases in citrus. In this PhD project will build a fluorescence imaging system using high power LEDs and a highly monochromatic liquid crystal optical filter variable. The filter variable will allow us to scan images of fluorescence from 450 to 740 nm. The images are analyzed using PCA (Principal Component Analysis) and SVM (Support vector machine). In addition, we study polarized fluorescence images. These techniques allow us to identify if there are bands of fluorescence specific for each disease. Having seen the results of the previous project in the limit the following diseases: citrus canker, scab, Greening, Rubelose buds and, in addition to zinc deficiency.
