Abstract

In this project will be shown the benefits that Raman spectroscopy can bring, involving samples taken from remote places in the human body, to diagnose cancers in various areas of our body, and also in completely different areas of health, such as archeology, that help in the analysis of ancient objects and fragile, and therefore has a huge risk of material loss, because there is no interaction with the sample, only one beam of light comes into contact with it. The scattering, in the Raman spectroscopy, occurs when there is a clash between the analyte and the monochromatic light, and when the molecule "moves" is considered inelastic scattering, this type of scattering is characteristic of the Raman technique, which is energy exchange between the incident photon and the molecule analyzed. Spawning peaks characteristic of each substance. No substance has a set of peaks equal to another. And the end is said about the techniques used to obtain a concrete analysis of the peaks analyzed, as the FWHM (Full Width at Half Maximum) which characterizes the peaks according to its width at half height. The method to remove the fluorescence that has just come along with the Raman scattering, while doing the analysis on the substance and to remove it, use it to polynomials generated by computer programs. And the comparison of the peaks analyzed, with the already saved in a database to diagnose any material difference in the sample. (AU)
