Abstract

The purpose of this research is to study the journal Inteligência, mensário da opinião mundial, founded by Mario Graciotti in 1935 in São Paulo. The journal Intelligence is in the relevant source for research, since they had texts and cartoons on the international situation, selected, (re) organized and translated by intellectuals who joined the Society of Political Studies (SEP), founded in 1932. It is intended to analyze, from their pages, how those responsible for the publication represented the different political and ideological contexts that are confronted with the purpose of acting, modify or justify internal policy positions. More specifically, it is a magazine that play across the ideological polarization that culminated in the coup of the Estado Novo until 1941 without losing sight of the texts published the result of choices that can not be separated from the worldview of its creators. Regarding the methodology, it is to grasp the magazine as a source and object of study.
