Abstract

ABSTRACT - The lychee is a fruit of great economic value. The litchi crop (Litchi chinensis Sonn.) can be very damaged by the mite Aceria litchii (Keifer), their main pest. Brazilian's producers are currently concerned by the high damage it has caused due the limitations about the available options for its control. This study aims to determine the integration of different factors that can control the lychee erinose mite, which will be efficient and causes less environmental impact. The study will be developed in a lychee farm in Limeira - SP and in laboratory. The mite's fluctuation (pests and predators) will be assessed monthly during one year, to determine its population. In each evaluation, three samples will take from 20 growing branches from each 15 plants, to determine the most convenient time for its control. Will be conducted the evaluation of some chemicals products with potential for this pest control too. At the laboratory the follow products will be tested: sulfur, Abamectin, mineral oil, Abamectin + mineral oil, azadiracthina, vegetable oil, fenbutanin oxide, spirodiclofen, fenpyroximate, hexithiazox, spiromesifen and control (water application). The products with better performance will be used for field evaluation, and to determine the numbers of A. litchii and predators.
