Abstract

This master's project aims to examine three novels by Henry Teixeira de Sousa, which make up the trilogy: Ilhéu de contenda (1978), Xaguate (1987) and Na Ribeira de Deus (1992). Henrique Teixeira de Sousa has an important role in Cape Verdean literary scene, however his novels have been little studied by literary critics in general.
