Abstract

The research project aims to study the home as essential space of the inhabitant. Through a historical approach, it analyzes the transformation of medieval public housing to contemporary private house, and confront this process with the individuation and subjectivity of being; discusses the invasion of media communication in the home and the relationship of human behavior based on the dialectic concept of public and private. As a result of this analysis will be proposed an architectural design of a conceptual shelter that materialize through the design issues discussed in the research.
