Abstract

This research seeks to question the statements that make periodical press a passive actor in the process of the Estado Novo, using the chronicles published by Rubem Braga in the periodics, like the newspaper O Imparcial, the magazine Revista Academica and the magazine Diretrizes, between the years 1938 and 1939.
