Abstract

This research project proposes to study the process of legitimation of the author in the visual arts on two complementary fronts of work. The first (artistic nature) aims to create an encyclopedia of artists of fictional content, ie, with biographies of creators invented and images of their works. The second line of work (more theoretical) is writing a dissertation that will examine not only the process of creating this fictional encyclopedia, but also the main studies on the author figure in the visual arts during the Romantic period and how this idea still seems strong in contemporary art.
