Abstract

School Physical Education is responsible for providing students the knowledge of movement body culture, understood by different physical manifestations, such as fights, gymnastics, and dance, among others. Adventure Physical Activities are activities that exist for a very long time and they are gaining more space nowadays. These activities are performed indifferent king of environments such as natural, urban or artificial and they could be adapted to the school context, involving the controlled risk and providing different sensations. As Adventure Physical Activities belong to the moving body culture, it is necessary that they could be introduced in school, providing the experience of other body manifestations to the students and providing them to learning new values related to the environment that is tied to this practice while increasing the contents of School Physical Education. Thus the aim of this study will be to analyze the implementation of a program of Adventure Physical Education inside the Physical Education classes during the period of one month (eight classes) for a class of sixth-graders, seventh current year, in a public school in the State of Sao Paulo, in RioClaro city. For this, it will evaluate the opinions of the Physical Education teacher of this class through a semi-structured interview, such as the students involved during the implementation process through questionnaires, and the views of a group of students belonging to the Scholarship Program for New Teachers (PIBID), through a focus group, about the options presented in the classes of AFA in the school context.
