Abstract

In the actual competitive environment, characterized by the continuous innovation of products and processes, demands a systematic and consistent transformation of data into knowledge useful to aid in the decision making. The objective of the present project is to build data mining methods, based on mathematical programming, using time series data to support the development of early warning systems. This kind of system helps in the identification of undesired situations being useful, for example, in process fault detection, in fraud detection, components fault diagnosis, amongst others. (AU)
