Abstract

Intracranial neoplasias are one of the main causes of death among the population in general. Glioblastoma is the most frequent form of a brain tumor in adults and the patients with this type of tumor live on average two years after the diagnosis. Malignant gliomas exhibit proliferation, angiogenesis, and invasion of adjacent areas. The methodology of phage display of peptides will be used to scan the surface of human glioblastoma cells, searching for new molecular markers that can be transformed into therapeutic alternatives for this disease.(AU)
