Abstract

The aim of this work is to understand the catalysts of some metals (M = Pt, Cu and Ir) supported on oxides systems containing reducible oxides as CeO2, TiO2 e Fe2O3 in preferential CO oxidation. The mechanistic study should be coupling with multi-technique approach that will be explored under operando conditions. Two kinds of techniques are planed; the X ray absorption spectroscopy (XAS) and infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) coupled with a mass spectrometer to obtain time-resolved information about the oxidation state, sizes of metal and oxides nano-particles, structure and species formed at the catalyst surface as a function of reaction conditions, nature of catalysts and gas feed of reactor.
