Abstract

This project aims to describe seven months stay in the department of anthropology at the University of Edinburgh. There are three key reasons: 1. The research to be conducted that binds to a proposal comparing different parts of the world in terms of democracy to anthropological studies or anthropology of politics and democracy. Edinburgh is currently one of the best research centers in these subject mathers; 2. The proposal to include in the discussions of an important international center for the production of political anthropology the material and analysis of Brazilian anthropology of politics and democracy; 3. Aid to create of a network of research on the Brazilian Northeast (especially the Interior and the Agreste of Pernambuco) meso little studied by the Brazilian anthropology. (AU)
