Abstract

This project is about the determination of the concentration of As, Ba, Ce, Co, Cr, Cs, Eu, Fe, Hf, K, La, Lu, In, Nd, Rb, Sb, Sc, Sm, Ta, Tb, Th, U , Yb and Zn in 60 samples of clays collected at the confluence of the rivers Negro and Solimões, in the municipality of Iranduba, Manaus. The results will contribute to studies being done in ceramic samples of the sites Great Lake, Osvaldo, and Hatahara located near the collection sites of the clays. The results are interpreted by means of multivariate statistical methods (cluster analysis, discriminant analysis). The studies will identify potential centers of ceramic production.(AU)
