Abstract

The idea of a smart grid has been met with various solutions for the protection philosophy proposed in the literature to overcome the impacts caused by the penetration of DG. The philosophies and protection schemes proposed to require an environment with rapid remote communication and levels of automation and intelligence offered by the implementation of the smart grid. In this context, it is proposed to develop an adaptive and robust protection system for intelligent distribution systems considering the presence of distributed generation. (AU)
