Abstract

In this project, we will investigate the coherence of residual stresses measurements carried on a set of 88 specimens made in aluminum alloys 7050 and 7475 submitted to peen forming processes encompassing the variation of their relevant parameters - size shot, mean impact velocity, coverage, and the presence or non of an elastic pre-stressing field. In order to achieve the aims of the project, it will be necessary to apply classic statistical methods (correlation analysis, multivariate analysis etc) to the experimental data as well as to fit those data to the various analytical models of residual stresses fields induced by shot peening described in the literature.(AU)
