Abstract

Music censorchip, because music is considered one of the arts more open to changes in behavioral and political patterns, has particularities that interfere in the production of documents written by censors and enhance processes experienced by the DCDP . Under this assumption, we propose a new approach to music censorship during the military dictatorship, performing together with qualitative analysis, a quantitative and serial reading of the sources produced by the service, setting trends, repetitions, variations, breaks and gradual changes in the dynamics of the activity. The political events which marked the military regime (1964-1985), and the cultural scene of the period will also be considered in the analysis.
