Abstract

The project aims to investigate the first part of the treatise "Versuch über die wahre Art das Clavier zu spielen" [Essay on the true way of playing keyboard instruments], by Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach (1714-1788), relating these writings to his "18 Probestücke" and "6 Neue Sonatinen", focusing on the teaching approach of the Baroque and Classical repertoire and, at the same time, trying to give support to a historically oriented performance of those pieces.
