Abstract

This project aims at a study of symmetries in physical systems, more specifically dynamic symmetries, and how these can be used to understand problems involving gravitation. The work will be done specifically on the Kerr metric and on how a dynamic symmetry can be useful in studies of similar systems that simulate this space-time geometry (such as sonic holes, analogs of black holes in condensed matter).(AU)
