Abstract

This masters project analyses the text Informacion (1640), written by the Portuguese intellectual Manuel de Faria e Sousa. Our research studies Informacion by contrasting Rethorical and Poetical concepts which guided its textual structure. We also consider unpublished documents of Inquisition of Lisboa that guide the comprehension of the censorship imposed by the Portuguese Church to The Lusiads Commented edition written by Manuel de Faria e Sousa.
