Abstract

This research project seeks to realize a space not yet filled by the literature, namely the understanding of the internal disputes to the National Constituent Assembly (1987-88) around the definitions of monetary authority and Central Bank of Brazil, and financial system, seeking to establish typologies of groups and understand what was at stake in the constitutional process on this issue. The research falls under the Thematic Project: "Political Institutions, Executive-Legislative Relationship and Government Performance", under the coordination of the teachers Fernando Limongi and Argelina Figueiredo.
