Abstract

Introduction: the oscillatory pole is an equipment able to induce rapid eccentric and concentric muscle contractions, causing co-contraction of muscle groups through oscillatory movements caused by the movement of the rod with the upper limb. As a result, it is hypothesized that exercise causes cardiovascular responses immediately. Objective: to analyze the acute effects of exercise with oscillatory poles on cardiac autonomic regulation in men. Method: the study will be performed in young adult males between 18-25 years old. We will analyze the contents linearindex of rate variability (HRV). The protocol assessment will be based on the record to stand for 10 minutes. Subsequently the subject held exercises with the oscillating rod. The exercises will be carried out with both arms in three positions: 1) with shoulders at approximately 90 ° of flexion and swing the rod in the transverse plane, 2) with shoulders at approximately 180 ° of flexion and swing the rod in the frontal plane, parallel to soil and 3) with shoulders at approximately 90 ° of flexion and swing the rod in the sagittal plane, perpendicular to the ground. HRV will be assessed before and immediately after exercise in the following periods: 0-5 minutes 5-10 minutes 10-15 minutes 15-20 minutes 20-25 minutes and 25-30 minutes after exercise. (AU)
