Abstract

Although the Fourier formalism has a record of success in signal processing, there are situations in which the spectral analysis using this tool becomes quite complicated. To overcome that, some alternative algorithms have been proposed in recent years and, in particular, the FDM has shown its potential, including in the field of MRS. This method has been approached by some researchers of our group and, among other things, we are working on the evaluation and validation of the method with the prospect of obtaining an alternative tool for processing and analysis of MR clinical spectra in addition to seeking solutions to problems related to the acquisition of metabolic levels in response to brain activity. However, currently, the implementation of the FDM code is difficult to handle by the user, demanding, including the acquisition of licenses for commercial software. Thus, this proposal intends to develop and implement a graphical platform using Python for MRS data processing using FDM. The new interface aims to be more intuitive and will be developed in an open-source platform, which will allow the distribution of the tool to the stakeholders.(AU)
