Abstract

The genus Agaricus sp., covers important species such as A. bisporus (Champignon), Agaricus bitorquis ("Bitorquis") and Agaricus brunnescens (Porto Belo), which represent the most important economic sector in the world and in Brazil. Thus, this project aims to map the main Champignon regions producing of the São Paulo State, in order to identify, register and track the source of the main indigenous strains used in crops (this mapping will also be isolated the main pathogen from commercial crops that causing economic damage, the L. fungicola). Then it will carry out pathogenicity tests "in vitro" using different active ingredients and doses of fungicides, in order to apply for mushroom production and registration of certain chemicals products that have the effect of control V. fungicola and not inhibit the development of mushroom, with institutions responsible for certification and inspection (Ministry of Agriculture). It also aims to: create a dichotomous key, with the names of the strains, their respective species, cultivated regions, morphological characteristics, resistance to fungicides, mycelial growth rates, and level of resistance to L. fungicola with indicators of +, ++, and + + +; select strains of Agaricus sp. that have a certain resistance to L. fungicola for a possible genetic improvement; Create a germplasm bank for purposes of teaching, research and extension, the possibility of exchanging genetic material with other institutions in Brazil and the world, and finally, stimulate the student writing a scientific paper, to publish in an international journal specializing in the area (Mycoscience).(AU)
