Abstract The productivity and the increase in the number of cattle housed in semi confinement and confinement regimes create disorder primarily affecting the gastrointestinal tract of cattle, resulting in lameness in foot of negative economic impact on dairy farming worldwide. Thus, this study aims to correlate the occurrence of subacute ruminal acidosis in high production animals with hemogasometry changes. This correlation will be established from the values of ruminal fluid pH collected by tubing and blood gas values, seeking early identification of variations of these values, when compared with the standard established in the literature. Will be used 100 Holstein cows, divided into two groups G1 not lame and G2 lame. Also considered are the stages of lactation and daily production, establishing the division into three groups according to these criteria. The rumen fluid will be obtained in a single moment, through ruminal tube pray. Prior to survey the animals will be subjected to blood gas analysis, using a portable device. The data will be statistically analyzed, aiming to establish correlations. | |
