Abstract

This study aim to evaluate the antimicrobial activity of endodontic irrigation using photon initiated acoustic streaming on biofilms developed on intraorally infected dentin. Sodium hypochlorite will be used as the irrigant solution using 1 -2.5% concentrations. Distilled water will be used as control. Confocal analysis and automatic segmentation analysis using the Live/Dead technique and the bioimageL software will be used after the treatment. The parameters to be evaluated are: mean biofilm thickness, total biovolume, substratum coverage and biovolume of live cells. (AU)
