Abstract

The purpose of this project is exploring the use of photoelectrochemical systems based in Si/TiO2/Pt composite anodes as a promising alternative on a novel composite photovoltaic development that could allow visible light absorption. For this, the objective is to obtain Si/TiO2/Pt composite anodes prepared by TiO2 deposition onto Si substrate with Pt grid array. These materials will be characterized morphological, structural and electrochemically. Finally, the potential applications of the anodes are as catalysts in the electrochemical fluorination of trifluorotoluene (TFT) or in the degradation of pollutants. (AU)
