Abstract

In this design will be done the identification of high frequency components that are present in the response of a transmission line model based on lumped parameters, which do not occur in response of the distributed parameters transmission line model. To perform such analysis, the response of the lumped model parameters model will be written as a discrete state equations and the solutions of these equations will be obtained by means of numerical methods and by analytical methods. Then it will be obtained the frequency spectrum of the response of the model, which will be compared with the frequency spectrum of the response provided by the Universal Line Model, which is a distributed parameter model, whose response will be considered a reference response. It will be analyzed the responses of the lumped parameters model used to represent three-phase lines of 440 kV, and the choice of this line is due to the fact that the same be widely used in the Brazilian electric system. Since the high frequency components of the lumped parameters model are known and measured, will be proposed a filter that minimizes the effect of these components, making the lumped parameters model more accurate and reliable.
