Abstract

The financial G20 was created in 1999 in a meeting that was attended by developed industrial economies and developing nations, in order to ease the dialogue between these tow groups. The main goal of the dialogue was economic growth and sustainable devlopment, but it only became relevant after the 2008 economic crisis and the deteriorayion of financial institutions such as the IMF and the World Bank, that were unable to deal with current economic challenges. Considering this scenario, the goal of this project is to analyze Brazils role in the financial G-20 during the term of President Luis Inacio Lula da Silva (2003/2010).
