Abstract Vitiligo is an acquired cutaneous dermatosis, idiopathic, characterized by achromic demarcated or irregular. Due to the importance of aesthetic values imposed on modern society, and the ability of disfiguring vitiligo patients with the disease usually presents as problems associated with low self-esteem, social isolation and even psychiatric disorders that reduce the quality of life. Since the causes of the appearance of vitiligo are not well understood, the treatment may have several segments, although the main goal of treatment is based on an attempt to stimulate repigmentation of damaged areas.In this sense, the main forms of treatment include: i) use of topical corticosteroids, ii)micropigmentation and iii) furanocoumarins with photochemotherapy (PUVA). The furocoumarins are find in Carolus Linnaeus (L.) - Burm, Ficus sp. Brosimum gaudichaudii Trécul and other Moraceae species d.Therefore, this proposal aims to study systematic of the malanogenic action in vitro and in vivo, stimulated by B.gaudichaudii extract. | |
