Abstract

Hallux valgus refers to a deformity arising from deviation of the hallux valgus accompanied by a medial deviation of the first metatarsal head. Unsuitable footwear, genetic factors, body mass index, and other factors are risks of deformity. The clinical localized pain, especially in the medial eminence, but the pain in the plantar region of the first metatarsal on the metatarsal heads or smaller, which worsen with ambulation, and can also be compression of the second finger, resulting in deformities and lesser toes impossibility use of certain footwear. A radiographic examination can be of good aid to the diagnosis of hallux valgus, because, it shows the points of repair of structural change, it also helps in treatment choice. These points are the parameters used to observe the deviation of the hallux valgus, which are the angles of hallux valgus angle intermetatarsal angle of the first metatarsal head, luxation of the sesamoids angle medial cuneiform / 1st metatarsal, medial cuneiform 2nd metatarsal and the longitude difference between the relative first and second metatarsals. The most effective treatment for hallux valgus is surgical treatment. There are several techniques that are performed to correct this problem. Each technique is chosen depending on the diagnosis and changes found in each patient. Objective: we are going to verify which parameters mentioned is the greatest difference compared to normal standards, according to the literature. Will be selected around 50 patients with a diagnosis of hallux valgus attending the outpatient foot of Complexo Hospitalar de Sorocaba and the Hospital Santa Lucinda.( AU)
