Abstract This project aims to study the relationship between perception and phantasy from the standpoint of Sigmund Freud's work. Understanding that both concepts have a place within metapsychology, we seek reflect on how they influence each other. As an initial step we present the privileged moments of Freudian thought that we recognize as appropriated to begin the research with. After that we indicate a methodology to conduct our research consisting of the following steps: (1) to circumscribe the concepts of perception and phantasy according to reading vectors; (2) to draw associations between vectors based on the discussion zone provided by the first step; (3) to return to four privileged moments in order to identify their conditions, mechanisms and results focusing on the relationship in question. We also discuss a method of reading and analyzing texts oriented by hermeneutics, and we propose a dialogue with psychoanalytic authors who study the uses of Freudian concepts nowadays. (AU) | |
