Abstract

The initial goal of this project is, based on the definitions by Chu (2010), Suvin (1979) and Freedman (2000), understand science fiction as a parallax in the act of reading, by shifting the perspective from the analysis of science fiction works to a science fictional analysis of the narrative. In the process, I intend to verify relations between the science-fictional reading and its couple cognition/estrangement, which happens between the fictional world and the virtual (Bergson) that can be actualized as lines of flight in the reader's world. This task is possible by tracing a dialogue between Lusophone literatures (Brazil, Portugal, Angola, Mozambique, Cape Verde) and philosophy, especially the works of Gilles Deleuze, Felix Guattari and Michel Foucault.
