Abstract

This research project aims at moving from an approach of criticism pragmatic sociology, looking to analyze the public debate and the controversies regarding agricultural alternatives. This approach offers some important tools to identify the justification arguments that allow actors engaged in the public debate to justify or confront an agri-food production model. From this perspective, we try to resume our studies in Brazil regarding the implementation of agricultural alternatives in recent years. In this perspective, this projects' proposal is to study the positions between the constituted poles regarding the defense of agri-business and food sovereignty aiming at questioning justice and legitimization values, as well as some topics regarding affinities and disagreements.
