Abstract

This project is intended to study both theoretically and practically the relation between some of the elements of Constantin Stanislavski's artistic approach and the practicing of aerial silk. By studying this relationship, the project aims to understand more profoundly the confluence between meaning and practicing that is constant on the structuring of the theatrical phenomenon. Therefore, this research means to comprehend the dialog between these elements of both theatre and circus as a possibility of understanding this confluence. At last, by studying Stanislavski's methods that are more suitable for this purpose, the project proposes the structuring of a sequence of acrobatic movements on the aerial silk focused on its poetic meanings - therefore, attempting to justify the sequence not only through the exhibitionism but also through the poetic point of view.(AU)
