Abstract

The process of urbanization of the towns brings changes in urban atmosphere, which favors the formation of microclimates in different locations of the city; the most significant of these changes are the islands of heat. It is in this context that the present research will seek to analyze the spatial variability of air temperature in Lisbon, and identify the temporal variability (hourly, daily and seasonal) heat islands. The work plan will be divided into four phases of sequential and logical form, in which the former will provide contributions to the development of the next phase. The field experiments will be conducted through mobile and fixed point transects of mesoscale Lisbon permanent. In the analyses of the data if use of geostatistics for making maps in addition to canonical analysis thermal for quantification of the influence of geourbans factors on the variation of air temperature in Lisbon. However, it is hoped that this research stage can contribute with the improvement of the researcher and, mainly, with the improvement of techniques and methodological procedures on data collection and analysis.
