Abstract

Distinct visualization techniques can be simultaneously employed to explore one or more datasets. Thus, coordination techniques can be used to facilitate the exploration and avoid the cognitive overload that the user suffers on the context changes among the several visualization techniques. Generally, visualization systems use a coordination model to manage the coordination mechanisms from a specific system. It complicates the model extension to another system that needs to coordinate multiple views. This project aims to adapt the coordination model developed during the advisor's PhD. This model was developed to the Projection Explorer (PEx) software architecture, which complicates its extension to other systems. As a result of this project, we intend to provide an extensible coordination model, which can be easily used by any system that requires performing coordination among multiple views.(AU)
