Abstract

This paper consists of practical and theoretical research on the work of the professor, ballet dancer, and corporal movement specialist Klauss Vianna, whose technique is based on principles that surpass the most used and traditional concept used to describe his work. Instead of ordinated codes or standardized methods related to corporal work, it is presented as a technique that values the creative path of individual freedom and self-knowledge. For this research, the body as mediator of our conscience and movements, will be used, that is, according to K. Vianna, a reason to avoid the mechanical exercise. Such principles are relevant for us because they give us the possibility of becoming creators, instead of mere movement reproducers. Such a considerable investigative quality gives to his work quality as an artistic and pedagogical instrument. According to our point of view, it is essential to notice in which ways this technique still influences the researchers of those who have an interest in the body as subjects of the sensations and conscious movements, aspects that turn the experience into reality.(AU)
