Abstract

The squares and parks are the focus of this research that aims to acquire knowledge of the historical and landscape design of São Paulo (capital). As a case study, we selected five areas of the capital that contains examples of public places dating from different periods of the century beginning of the XX and XXI, which may give a panel of landscaping procedures and processes of use of such parks in the city.
