Abstract

This project is dedicated to the aesthetics and the body ornamentation of lowland South America indigenous people. It proposes a bibliographical survey of studies published about this topic, focusing on productions of indigenous people of western Amazonia. From such a bibliographic survey, the project aims to investigate the possible relationship between ethnology and art history, in order to understand the notions of image and materiality for Amerindian people.(AU)
