Abstract

This work aims to bring the translation of two short stories by Anton Chekhov, "The Fear" (1982) and "A Journey by Cart" (1897), followed by a critic and interpretative commentary about the formal procedures, which seems to enlighten the specificities of the representative method undertaken by the writer and it's a brilliant contribution to the development of genres and forms at the Russian and Mundial literature. Both stories selected don't have a direct translation from Russian to Portuguese.(AU)
