Abstract

This work aims to bring the translation of two short stories by Anton Chekhov, "The Fear" (1982) and "A Journey by Cart" (1897), followed by a critic and interpretative commentary about the formal procedures, which seems to enlighten the specificities of the representative method undertaken by the writer and it's brilliant contribution to the development of genres and forms at the russian and mundial literature. Both stories selected don't have a direct translation from russian to portuguese
