Abstract

This research project aims to analyze relationships between personality disorders and criminal behavior, emphasizing violent crimes. Therefore, there will be done an epidemiological study of personality disorders among individuals who committed a criminal offence facing some kind of penal response (custodial sentence or a detention order), verifying their behavioral variables, compared to others, so that we can offer a legal treatment alternative, more suitable for this offenders profile, in the course of the criminal proceeding and the execution of sentence.
