Abstract

This study aims to develop a methodology to perform the exergy, exergo-economic and exergo-environmental analysis, evaluation and ranking of technological routes for obtaining ethanol and electricity from sugar cane in several configurations of biorefineries.Technical data of each technological route, as well as, the related environmental aspects will be taken into account. It is expected to obtain optimal settings and it will allow the ranking (in terms of renewability of production processes) of these proposed routes:ROUTE 1: ETHANOL (1G) AND ELECTRICITY;ROUTE 2: ETHANOL (2G), HYDROLYSIS AND ELECTRICITY;ROUTE 3: LIQUID FUELS (SYNTHESIS GAS) AND ELECTRICITY.
