Abstract

This paper will investigate the perceptual-aesthetic process of the theatrical spectacle, perceived as an attending and political rendezvous between the actor and his/her audience. To do that, it is proposed a practical experience combined with a bibliographic and theoretical study that involves the development and the presentation of the scenes chosen from the work "Spring Awakening", by Frank Wedekind. Besides, records about the perception of the attending audience will be taken, analyzed and compared with possible historical records about the perception of the contemporaneous audience in the first staging of this work in 1906, under the direction of Max Reinhardt.
