Abstract

The aim of this study is to assess the occurrence of Aeromonas hydrophila, Listeria monocytogenes and Yersinia enterocolitica in dipterans Muscoid of the families Muscidae, Calliphoridae and Sarcophagidae, captured by entomological traps containing baits of beef liver, arranged in a transect between the State Park "Morro do Diabo", agricultural areas of monoculture of sugar cane, rural settlements and urban area of Teodoro Sampaio-SP. The Catches will be conducted monthly from August 2013 to January 2013.Washes of the exoskeleton and the intestinal contents of flies captured, separately by family, month and capture point, will be subject to the procedures of selective enrichment in alkaline peptone water and tryptic soy broth supplemented with ampicillin (for A. hydrophila), enrichment broth buffered supplemented with acriflavine and nalidixílico acid (for L. monocytogenes) and enrichment broth Igarsan-Ticarcillin-Potassium-Chloride (to Y. enterocolitica). After the incubation, the broths are plated on sheep blood agar and starch agar-DNA-Aeromonas to A. hydrophila, chromogenic agar for L. monocytogenes and Yersinia-selective agar and MacConkey agar for Y. enterocolitica. The isolates are classified by biochemical tests. The antimicrobial susceptibility of isolates will be evaluated by classical disk diffusion method for the following antimicrobials: ampicillin, ciprofloxacin, ceftriaxone, gentamicin, levofloxacin, tetracycline and sulfonamides. After the analysis of the results, the public health aspects will be discussed. (AU)
