Abstract

The objective of the present work is the characterization of an ethanol flame in a continuous flow combustion chamber by the analysis of the velocity field along the combustion chamber, the analysis of the diamenter and velocity distribution on the non reactive and reactive spray drops and by the simultaneous analysis of the flame front and velocity field. The experimental data will be obtained with high acquisition PIV and PLIF lasers techniques and low acquisition PDI and PIV lasers techniques. The work also involves the project and construction of the continuous combustion chamber, as well all the experimental aparatus needed along the research. (AU)
