Abstract

This project of undergraduate research aims at studying the process of absorption of two photons in the family of polifluorenes polymers. The polifluorenes constitute a new and interesting class of conjugated polymers that have been studied mainly with respect to their structural and electrical properties. However, few studies have been conducted with regard to the study of its nonlinear optical response. Thus, the realization of this project will allow the student to study both nonlinear optical processes in a new material and become familiar with experimental techniques in the field of optics. (AU)
