Abstract

Domestic consumers, especially the poorest fraction of the population, commit a larger portion of their budget to food. In this sense, it is extremely important to know the process associated with increases in prices of this group, in this case, feed. This work proposes an analysis of inflation dynamics in Brazil, with emphasis on the behavior of the prices of food of the consumer price indexes. To give the foundation of this analysis, we intend to understand the behavior of agricultural prices and industrial, as well as the influence of the exchange rate and international prices of commodities.
