Abstract

This research aims to analyze how the communicational practices of environmental management, proposed by González-Benito and González-Benito (2006) have been adopted by some industrial companies located within the State of São Paulo, Bauru Area. Although studies on adoption of environmental management practices have advanced in recent years, the understanding of the so-called "green communicational practices" still remains a gap in the state-of-the-art of the literature. The methodology of this scientific undergraduate research is based on two case studies on companies in the region of Bauru, certified with ISO 14001, to consider the application of communicational practices of environmental management in these organizations. Besides the collection of documents and direct in-site observation, interviews will be conducted with those responsible for the area of communication / public relations and environmental management of these companies. The fundamental concepts of this research, which will have its literature reviewed in more depth, are: environmental management, typology of environmental management practices of González-Benito and González-Benito (2006) and communicational practices of environmental management in companies with ISO 14001. This project is based on the Research Group Environmental Management UNESP-Bauru, trying to understand the adherence to internationally agreed concepts on environmental management in industrial organizations for the Brazilian reallity. Additionally, this project will provide a partnership between Public Relations and Production Engineering with a focus on environmental management. (AU)
