Abstract

The aim of this study is to evaluate the mechanical properties, degree of conversion, volumetric shrinkage, and of experimental composites amorphous calcium phosphate (ACP), associated or not to different quantities of inorganic filler. It will be evaluated the effects of adding 40% (by weight) of amorphous calcium phosphate in composites containing different amounts of barium glass on the degree of conversion (FTIR spectroscopy), volumetric shrinkage (Helium pycnometer), biaxial flexure strength, and elastic modulus. The bioactivity of these materials will also be evaluated. Data will be submitted to analysis of variance (ANOVA) and a Tukey's posthoc test (p<0.05%). (AU)
